Marrat’s Bryum Moss

Bryum marratii, commonly known as Marrat’s Bryum Moss, is a species native to the temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere, particularly found in moist, shaded environments such as forest floors and along stream banks. This moss typically grows in dense, green mats that can reach heights of 2 to 5 centimeters, forming a cushion-like structure that provides habitat for various microorganisms and small invertebrates.
