Apache Milkvetch

Astragalus nutriosensis, commonly known as Apache Milkvetch, is a perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the legume family, Fabaceae. This species is native to the southwestern United States, particularly found in Arizona and New Mexico, where it typically inhabits dry, rocky soils in grasslands and open woodlands. Apache Milkvetch exhibits a growth habit characterized by a height ranging from 30 to 60 centimeters (approximately 12 to 24 inches) and a low, spreading form that allows it to thrive in its arid environment.

The leaves of Astragalus nutriosensis are pinnately compound, consisting of numerous small leaflets that provide a feathery appearance.
