Anacolia Moss

Anacolia laevisphaera, commonly known as Anacolia Moss, is a species of moss belonging to the family Pottiaceae. This plant is primarily found in temperate regions of North America, particularly in moist, shaded areas such as forest floors, along stream banks, and in other damp environments. Anacolia laevisphaera typically grows in dense mats, reaching heights of 2 to 5 centimeters. Its growth habit is characterized by a low, cushion-like form that allows it to effectively retain moisture and provide habitat for microfauna.
