Anacamptodon Moss

Anacamptodon splachnoides, commonly known as Anacamptodon Moss, is a species of moss belonging to the family Anacamptodontaceae. This moss is primarily found in the temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere, with a native range that includes parts of North America, Europe, and Asia. It typically inhabits moist, shaded environments, often growing on soil, rocks, or decaying wood in forested areas, and is commonly associated with riparian zones and other damp habitats.

Anacamptodon splachnoides exhibits a growth habit that can reach heights of 1 to 5 centimeters. The plant forms dense, green tufts or mats that can cover the substrate.
