California Antitrichia Moss

Antitrichia californica, commonly known as California Antitrichia Moss, is a species of moss belonging to the family Antitrichiaceae. This moss is native to the western United States, particularly thriving in California, where it is commonly found in moist, shaded environments such as forests, along stream banks, and in other damp habitats. The growth habit of this moss typically ranges from 1 to 5 centimeters in height, exhibiting a cushion-like or tufted form that allows it to adapt well to its environment.
