This species typically grows in clumps, reaching heights of 2 to 4 feet, with a dense, upright form that provides excellent ground cover. The leaves are narrow, linear, and can be up to 12 inches long, exhibiting a fine texture and a green to bluish-green color that turns golden in the fall.
