Nodding Brome

Bromus anomalus, commonly known as Nodding Brome, is a perennial grass native to the western United States and parts of Canada. This species typically grows between 2 to 3 feet in height, exhibiting a tufted growth habit that is characteristic of many brome grasses. The leaves are narrow, elongated, and can reach lengths of up to 12 inches, often with a distinctive bluish-green hue. The flowering stems are erect and bear nodding, spike-like inflorescences that can add visual interest to grassland habitats.
