Boivin’s Rockcress

Arabis boivinii, commonly known as Boivin’s Rockcress, is a perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the Brassicaceae family. This species is native to the mountainous regions of eastern Africa, particularly found in the highlands of Madagascar and parts of the East African Rift. Boivin’s Rockcress typically exhibits a growth habit characterized by a rosette form, reaching heights of approximately 15 to 30 centimeters. The plant has a compact structure, with stems that are often erect and can branch out, contributing to its bushy appearance.

The leaves of Arabis boivinii are lanceolate to ovate, with a smooth or slightly wavy margin, and are arranged in a basal rosette. The upper leaves may be smaller and more linear.
