Columbian Rockcress

Arabis sparsiflora var. columbiana, commonly known as Columbian Rockcress, is a perennial herbaceous plant native to the western regions of North America, particularly found in the Pacific Northwest, including parts of Washington, Oregon, and British Columbia. This variety typically grows in rocky, well-drained soils, often in alpine or subalpine environments. The growth habit of Columbian Rockcress is characterized by its low, mat-forming form, with a height that generally ranges from 10 to 30 centimeters. The plant can spread laterally, forming dense patches that help stabilize soil in its native habitats.
