Wheelscale Saltbush

Atriplex elegans var. thornberi, commonly known as Wheelscale Saltbush, is a variety of the species Atriplex elegans, belonging to the family Amaranthaceae. This plant is native to the arid regions of the southwestern United States and northern Mexico, particularly thriving in areas with saline soils. It typically grows in desert landscapes, often in association with other halophytic plants, and can be found in habitats such as salt flats and disturbed areas.

Wheelscale Saltbush exhibits a distinctive growth habit, reaching heights of 30 to 90 centimeters.
