Sydney Golden Wattle

Acacia longifolia, commonly known as the Sydney Golden Wattle, is a species of flowering plant in the legume family, Fabaceae. It is native to eastern Australia, particularly found in coastal regions of New South Wales and Queensland. This species typically grows as a shrub or small tree, reaching heights of 2 to 10 meters. It has a bushy form with a dense canopy, which makes it a prominent feature in its native habitats, often occupying sandy soils in heathlands, woodlands, and disturbed areas.

The leaves of Acacia longifolia are distinctive, being narrow and elongated, typically measuring 7 to 20 centimeters in length and 1 to 3 centimeters in width.
