Duchesne Milkvetch

Astragalus duchesnensis, commonly known as Duchesne Milkvetch, is a perennial herbaceous plant native to the western United States, specifically found in the mountainous regions of Utah and surrounding areas. This species typically grows in dry, rocky soils at elevations ranging from 1,500 to 3,000 meters. Duchesne Milkvetch exhibits a growth habit that can reach heights of 30 to 60 centimeters, forming a dense, upright clump. The plant has a taproot system that allows it to access moisture and nutrients from deeper soil layers, which is advantageous in its arid habitat.
