Funeral Mountain Milkvetch

Astragalus funereus, commonly known as Funeral Mountain Milkvetch, is a perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the legume family, Fabaceae. This species is native to the western United States, particularly found in the mountainous regions of Nevada and California. It typically thrives in rocky, well-drained soils at elevations ranging from 1,500 to 3,000 meters. The growth habit of Astragalus funereus can vary, but it generally reaches a height of 30 to 60 centimeters, forming a clumped or tufted appearance that is characteristic of many alpine plants.
