Summer Pheasant’s Eye

Adonis aestivalis, commonly known as Summer Pheasant’s Eye, is a flowering plant belonging to the family Ranunculaceae. This species is native to a broad region encompassing southern and central Europe, extending into parts of western Asia. It typically inhabits open fields, meadows, and disturbed areas, often favoring well-drained, sandy or loamy soils. The plant exhibits a growth habit that can reach heights of 30 to 60 centimeters, presenting an upright, branched form that contributes to its distinctive appearance in its natural habitat.

The leaves of Adonis aestivalis are finely dissected and feathery, giving them a delicate appearance.
