California Maidenhair

Adiantum jordanii, commonly known as California Maidenhair, is a perennial fern native to the western regions of North America, particularly found in California and parts of Oregon. This species typically thrives in moist, shaded environments, often growing in rocky crevices, along stream banks, and in forest understories. California Maidenhair exhibits a delicate growth habit, reaching heights of 30 to 60 centimeters (12 to 24 inches). The plant has a graceful, arching form, with slender, wiry stems that support its distinctive fan-shaped leaflets.

The leaves of Adiantum jordanii are one of its most notable characteristics, featuring a bright green color and a unique, delicate appearance.
